2022-2023 HOCKEY DIVISIONS
A player's division is determined by birth year, as per the USA Hockey Rulebook:
Midget 18U: 2004 to 2005 birth years
Midget 16U: 2006 birth years
Midget 15U: 2007 birth year
Bantam Major: 2008 birth year
Bantam Minor: 2009 birth year
Pee Wee Major: 2010 birth year
Pee Wee Minor: 2011 birth year

ID SKATE/TRYOUT DETAILS
Pre-Selection Registration Steps
All players must register for ID skates/tryouts online and pay by credit card. (Paper registration is not available.)
To register online, you will need:

Register for the Identification Skate (HERE)

Pay the Identification Skate fee.

The AAU Hockey Number for 2022-23 is required for registration. If registering before August 31, 2022, you can use your player's 2021-22 AAU Hockey registration, but the new 2022-2023 number will be required before tryouts.

Bring to Tryouts:

If the player is new to NA Prep Hockey Academy, a copy of their birth certificate is required at tryouts.

Copy of the 2022-2023 season AAU registration (if you registered before August 31 with the 2021-2022 number)

Commitment Check (made payable to NAPHA in the amount of $1000)
Post-Selection Registration Steps

Check the player selection list at the arena.

Uniform Ordering - fill out sizing for jerseys, and warm-ups will take place at registration immediately following player selections.

PLAYER TUITION
Prep Academy Team
$4,390 for the 22-23 season (payment plans available)
Covers one full-time coaches stipend | website operation | insurance | on/off ice training equipment | administration needs | home/away jerseys | home/away socks | shells | off-ice training t-shirt/shorts | track-suit | league fees |tournament fees | exhibition game fees | practice ice fees | 10% contingency coverage.
PAYMENT PLANS WILL BE AVAILABLE - $1000 *fully-refundable deposit must be made on signing day.
Ice time, training games, and practices are subject to cancellation. North American Preparatory Hockey Academy will use its best efforts to meet the on-Ice training and game composition section commitments.
*We are also offering a fully refundable deposit if your child is not placed on one of our prep teams or we cannot fill a team roster.
COMMITMENT FEES
A commitment check (made payable to NA PREP) will be collected 24 hours after the player receives their player agreement invitation. This check* will be deposited when the team placement is accepted.
*Credit cards are not accepted as payment for the commitment fee.
The Commitment Fee is non-refundable once team placement is accepted. If you decline placement on a team, you will forfeit your player's roster spot.
Players will not be entirely placed on a team unless their commitment check/payment has been received. No Exceptions!
REFUNDS:
The try-out fee is non-refundable, even if you do not attend all try-out sessions or decide not to play on a NA Prep team. The commitment fee is non-refundable after team placement has been accepted.

TEAM SELECTION
- Player roster spots can be offered as early as after the first skate. There will be a selection list on day one and an additional list on day two. Team selections will be completed 48 hours after the final ID Skate session.
- 24 hours after receiving their player agreement invitation, all players will have to accept their roster spot.
- Players will be offered positions on teams as a result of these scores. Players may, at their option, elect not to play on the team at their discretion. However, once a player selects that option, they lose their rating and roster spot on the team.
- Positions not accepted within 24 hours will be forfeited, and we will select from the next highest-ranked player.

UNABLE TO TRY-OUT POLICY
NA Prep has a minimum of three ID Skate/Try-out sessions to evaluate each player as accurately as possible. It is strongly recommended that all players attend all tryout sessions to facilitate this evaluation process and make it as accurate as possible.
However, it is recognized that through no fault of their own, some players may not be able to attend all of the ID Skate/Try-out sessions. If a tryout session must be missed, the evaluating coaches will evaluate that player as best they can from what has been observed and place that player accordingly. The parents will recognize that the evaluators have done the best evaluation possible under a handicapped situation.
If any player is unable to attend any of the sessions, his intent to play for a NA Prep Academy team in the next season must be shown by registering for tryouts no later than the first night of tryouts. A doctor's excuse or detailed letter stating why the player is unable to participate and the anticipated date he will be able to participate must be emailed to evaluations@naprep.com.
NA Prep Academy reserves the right to hold supplemental tryouts to fill any and all open roster positions post-open ID Skates/Try-outs.
